Serena and Adrian first met back in 2022 during their grad school days at the University of Houston. Adrian, a little nervous, handed Serena his number on a tiny piece of paper, hoping to ask her out. Their first date was at JINYA Ramen Bar — a spot that’s become so special to them that they still go back every year to celebrate their anniversary.

Fast forward three years, Adrian popped the big question during Serena’s graduation trip in the Dominican Republic. These days, they’re navigating (and sometimes surviving) post-grad life — Serena in her first year of residency and Adrian as a practicing optometrist. When they’re not working, they love exploring Houston’s amazing food scene, hunting down new coffee spots, and spending time around the Houston Heights.
